Below are some simple gidelines to allow you to help you prepare your images for printing and ensure you get the best results possible.
Step 1: Prepare your files
Images should be saved as either the native file size (resolution) from your camera, or resized to the exact dimensions you want your prints to be. All files sent in will be examined for size and if I don't think they are big enough to achieve the required quality at your chosen print size, I will contact you to let you know.
Images should be sent as 8bit files. JPEG files saved at quality 12 are preferable as these are quicker for you to upload and easier to handle. 16bit files can make a slight difference to the print quality, however in my experience it is not worth the extra hassle involved in uploading enormous TIFF files. However, if you do want to supply 16bit files, this can be arranged.
Please ensure the colour space is embedded within your image. This should ideally be Adobe RGB to ensure the best colour fidelity in the finished prints. If you have sRGB files, these are also perfectly acceptable and will print just as well.
Please also create a text file (a word document is fine) detailing your instructions - how many files, what size prints, what paper type and most importantly, your email, phone number and address for me to send the prints to.
Please remember that prints will need to be signed for as I send them by Royal Mail Special Delivery.
Step 2: Upload Your Files
There are 2 ways to send me your files: FTP or Post.
To send me images by post, Copy the images and your instructions document to CD or DVD and label it with your name. Then send it to:
Flat 3, 19 Hartington Road, Chiswick, W4 3TL
Step 3: Payment
I accept payment via Paypal. Enter the order details below and click the Buy Now button
This calculator requires the use of Javascript enabled and capable browsers.
Step 4: Await your prints
As soon as I receive the funds via paypal, I will start to print your images.
Turnaround time is usually three days from receipt of the funds and the images, though at busy times, this can take longer. In all cases, I will endeavour to have your images back to you within 7 days. For canvas prints, I still try to work on a 7 day turnaround time, though this may sometimes take longer due to the extra preparation time required.
